Recently, Ryoko had the honour of delivering a session on yoga and health at the Grade 7 Empowered Girls Conference in Surrey, which took place on May 29. This outstanding event, sponsored by the Surrey Teachers’ Association, drew in a remarkable gathering of over 200 enthusiastic students. It marked Ryoko’s fourth invitation to share her expertise at the annual event.
“I like to give back to the community as yoga has so many benefits for the young,” says Ryoko. “I took this opportunity to provide these students with a fun environment to gain more awareness of their breath, body & mind connection by having them to move their bodies dynamically with music. It was fun and everyone had a great time.”
Ryoko’s commitment to fitness excellence is recognized by BCRPA (BC Recreation & Parks Association) in the specialties of older adult fitness, weight training, yoga fitness, group fitness, fitness theory and as a personal trainer.
