Built from the Ground Up
Kerr Design Build was founded in 1991 — originally as Kerr Construction and Design — on a simple but demanding belief: that quality and trust aren’t marketing words. They’re promises you keep on every job site, every day.
What started as a renovation company in Vancouver grew into one of the city’s most respected design-build firms. We rebranded as Kerr Design Build to reflect what we’d become: a fully integrated firm where design and construction work as one.
The name changed. The values didn’t. Today, Kerr is led by owner Elton Donald, who joined the company as a teenager and spent over two decades working every corner of the business before taking the reins in June 2025. The founding values — excellence, honesty, service, and growth — remain exactly as they were in 1991.
