Many of you joined us for our Behind the Curtain event, when this project was still under construction — when you could see the planning, the structure, and the craftsmanship that shape a renovation long before the finishes go in.
Behind the Curtain: What the Home Looked Like Mid-Renovation
Before the finishes went in, the Point Grey Home was a 1920s character home in transition — a full home renovation, a rear addition, and a brand-new laneway home, all still exposed as structure, framing, and rough-in work. It’s a very different look from the finished rooms below, and a reminder that every polished space starts with the decisions made underneath it.
The Finished Home
The result is a character home renovated from top to bottom — a full home renovation, a rear addition, and a new laneway house that brings more space, light, and long-term flexibility to the property, without losing what made the original home worth keeping.

The Design Behind the Transformation
This project was led by Leo Chester, Senior Designer at Kerr Design Build, whose thoughtful approach helped shape the transformation of this 1920s character home — bringing more space, function, light, and everyday comfort to the property.
At the open house, you’ll have the chance to meet Leo and the wider Kerr Design team, ask questions, and see the decisions behind the design up close.
