All Work and No Play Means Time for Annual Company BBQ

Kerr Design Build’s annual BBQ picnic was held at the beginning of July in Langley at the home of company founder Doug Kerr. The event was a day of fun and celebration for the employees and families of Kerr Design Build and Absolute Roof Solutions, its sister company.

The catering arrangements were a hit, as a “do it yourself” drop-off service provided mouthwatering dishes, including ribs, chicken, mac and cheese, and Caesar salad. Staff provided mixed fruit, watermelon, and snacks. Elton Donald, Doug’s partner, brought freshly caught fish from a recent fishing trip which everyone loved.

The picnic featured exciting activities like bubble balls rented from Houle Games and another company. Laughter filled the air as the attendees rolled around in inflatable balls, enjoying each other’s company. The day was even more memorable with pony rides provided for the children.

The picnic also served as a birthday celebration for Doug. The team surprised him with a cake, and everyone sang a rousing edition of “Happy Birthday.”

The close-knit atmosphere showcased the strong sense of community within Kerr Design Build and Absolute Roof Solutions, bringing joy, camaraderie, and appreciation to all our hardworking staff.
